Petra, Amiel, Jolynn, Claudia, Wei Lyn, Madison and myself celebrated our birthdays at Bright Lights last monday! The very yummy carrot cake was baked by Natalie S. :))

I'm sorry for the lack of posts here! Despite the fact that we don't post very often, we still are having fun and learning lots of stuff at Bright Lights! This week's topic was Discernment.
What can we learn from doctors and detectives?
- Discernment waits to get all the facts; it doesn't jump to conclusions.
- Discernment asks questions.
- Discernment seeks counsel.
- Discernment examines details - search the Bible for "clues".
- Discernment learns from past experiences.
- Discernment observes history
We also had a lot of fun playing Balderdash and a truth-and-lies lava dash where the girls had to distinguish between a truth and a lie which was written on a piece of paper, and by stepping on the truths were able to get to the other side. :)
