We had our last meeting (which was more than a week ago :D) at the Lynch's, with "President Abi" leading us because Jolynn's away. :(!
(Btw, Abi's doing a GREAT job. Thanks Abi!)
And there's Petra in a very unique pose :P
Proverbs 15:20 "A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother."
Abi mentioned that oftentimes we respect our friends' parents but we show disrespect towards our own parents. This is not acceptable, of course, and we're actually being hypocrites if we do so.
How to overcome disrespect:
1. Find the root of the problem. Examine yourself, your attitudes.
2. Purpose to take the position of humility!
3. Ask the Lord to reveal to you any area of disrespect in your life.
4. Confess wrong attitudes and disrespect. (Disrespect is sin!)
5. Ask for forgiveness.
Purpose to seek the HIGHEST standard in this area of your life! Not your own, not your friends', not the world's, but GOD'S yardstick :)
And then we did an activity!
My group with our recipes :)
Eph 6:2-3 "Honour thy father and thy mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live long on the earth."
Isn't it wonderful that God always has so many promises for us? And He keeps them all too!
Have a blessed week, girls :)
And remember to pray for Jolynn!!
As far as rotating the pictures goes... your best bet would be to make sure they're rotated before uploading.
ReplyDeleteBut since they're already on, you could try rotating them in the Picasa album for the blog. If you save the rotation, it might show up on the blog... but I'm not entirely sure. The rotated picture might have a new link, in which case the images in the blog post would not be rotated (and might disappear altogether).
If that happened, you could just edit the post, and choose to add pictures from Picasa Web Albums (instead of uploading from a computer), selected the rotated pictures, and it should add it back in again. (If you do this option, you'd probably want to delete the old sideways pictures first.)
P.S. "Pianississimo" is Hannah Meyer, just so you know.
Wow, it looks like it was a great meeting! I LOVE the the idea to do recipes for respect:) Missing you all!
